Learn Mandarin Through a Real Chinese New Year Story (春节 / Chūnjié)

In Chinese Culture by Angel Huang

Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival — 春节 (Chūnjié) — is the most important holiday in Chinese culture. It’s a time for family, traditions, food, and meaningful language used in real life.

In this lesson, you learn Mandarin through a complete Chinese New Year day, told in natural, beginner-friendly Mandarin, with Chinese characters, pinyin, and English translation. Instead of memorizing isolated phrases, you follow a real story—from morning preparations to the midnight countdown.

This lesson is ideal for beginner and lower-intermediate Mandarin learners who want to improve listening skills and understand Chinese culture at the same time.
